Just left relatives to Dublin airport and saw them board the dreaded EIDUB on a 9 hour flight to Orlando with 3 kids. Big disappointment.
We go in December. Any chance DUB will be pensioned off by then?

As part of the latest cost cutting plans announced in the last week or so they mentioned another aircraft to be retired early this winter, so will be EIDUB I reckon.

The plan was for it to go in March, after last weeks announcement it should be early January. EI111 SNN-JFK is to operate up to Jan 13th, so it'll probably be needed up to then.

I know that EI-DUB is a pain, particularly if there's kids travelling, but look at the bright side, all EI A330's will feature the new cabins once it's gone!

It may leave earlier as with the removal of SFO and IAD after the 25 Oct will free up another A330-200.
