My legs are utterly thrashed. Completely. But I've got a 10km run to do at lunch. Part of me knows the best way to try and get through this uninjured is compression socks and shorts.
Part of me knows that looking like an utter gimp while running from the City Centre is a part idea.

Wear the compression gear or not? 21 votes

Wear them and endure the sniggers

Don't wear them and increase the risk of TFL/ITB issues

Do you find those compression socks any good? I wore a pair on an LSR not so long ago and they 'compressed' my calfs a bit too much, left me with pains for about a week after, totally counterproductive.

Are you a model or an athlete? who gives a sh't what people you dont know and prob dont care think

Lashings of fake tan on the exposed part of the leg, will give you the pro look.

There were a couple of well- tanned Italians (I think) at Eireman, who made the socks look cool.

Pasty Irish legs on the other hand....

Myabe if I put GAA socks on over the compression socks my new colleagues may not start asking questions.

Yes - very good. Brand specific though, some are crap, some are excellent, I find they, when combined with compression shorts, almost act like a second external fascia that takes some off the load off the fasica thats connected to my ITB and helps reduce the likihood of overloading my TFL.

HTFU tunney - you know there's only 1 answer to this. Now, I think I'll find a good spot around Stephen's Green with my camera.....
