    Hi

I am pretty new to photography, I don't want to buy loads of new hardware etc, I currently own a cannon eos400d, but I definately don't think that I am getting the best out of my camera.... I did the digital beginners course in town, but feel that I could benefit from some tuition in a smaller group... anyone know any teachers? How much would it cost?

    Thanks in advance

    Berny

    Hi Berny,

We would need to know what part of the country you are in first to offer any meaningful advice. :)

You would probably benefit from membership to a local Camera Club. If you then get involved there should be plenty of people to help you to improve. Going on outings with other Photographers will give you a lot of practical experience.

There doesn't seem to much around the northside of Dublin. I was kinda looking myself. Swords or Malahide, or else DCC.

But, if you find one (or start one), let me know. :)

If you are based in Cork, then you can join our club; The cork camera group & we hold photoshop classes for a nominal fee. And the tips that you pick from other photographers is a great help. Find a club & join. Then join one or two photographers on excursions & you will pick up speed.

Then Swords Camera Club might be your nearest.

I'm in Lucan & go to DCC. There is a big choice though with Cellbridge, Clondalkin & the new club in Palmerstown.

Go along to a meeting & see if you like it. Some suit different people better. You would be more than welcome to come along to DCC one Tuesday night. There are quite a few from this forum who are members there.
