Mobile mechanic

    Hi all

    Can anyone recommend a mobile mechanic in the dublin area to take a look at my car?
    Went out to shop this evening and on the way back was struggling find the gears.
    Got back to house anyway - I can find all the gears easily with engine switched off, but once the engine is running, forward gears are extremely difficult to find, and I cant get reverse at all - keeps grating when I try.

    Need to diagnose whether it is gearbox, clutch, or clutch cable.

    BTW, its an Opel Astra 98 (newer model).

    Sounds very much like your clutch needs replacing.
    Whats the mileage like.
    Did you happen to notice recently if you put the
    pedal down to over take and there was generally not much go.
    That or try the car in 4th gear, from standing still and if
    it moves easily enough, your clutch is worn out. Hope that helped.
