    Isaac did? no way!

Might be to do with the fact that their forks kept snapping

    Not apparently the full story.

Isaac did a voluntary recall because of a fault with incorrectly assembled expander plugs which could lead to problems. This was exactly the same expander plug that other manufacturers used, and they had the same risk, it just seemed that Isaac were being ultra conservative and this ultimately lead to their downfall.

Sorry to reinstate this post after 10 days, but funnily enough, Isaac made an announcement the day after this post to say that they're still alive & well and are about to release a new range to prove it.:D

    Thanks for the info !

Damn, I had it 'narrowed' down to a Basso Astra, Bianchi Infinito or Look 586 .... oh well let see if they keep the geometry.

Issac make nice bikes and they are certainly desirable. Are you that sensitive to the geometry though that they are particularly suitable above any other option?

Well I'm a lanky b@stard, 6' but long legs and short reach, so a short top tube and high head tube suit me best. Issac had/have this, Storck on the other hand have long top tubes for the same head height, so they're out unfortunately, they're surprisingly good value for money, well all but the top model.

The Basso and Bianchi suit, the Look 586 less so but its not far off. I was looking at a Parlee Z5 but waaaaaay too much money for what looks like a bunch of carbon tubes. Kuota KOM is another 'almost there' consideration, but probably a bit too much all out racer for a one frame for all purposes ... if such a thing exists.

How long are your legs out of interest? I am 6ft also but 33.75" inseam. I generally ride 58cm bikes which are probably too big for me.

    Call those legs ?? :)

I've a 35" inseam, wife reckons I'd have made a great bird

So 550 TT and 170 HT suit me best but I'll stretch to a 56 if needs be. I tend to have the saddle pretty far back, so that doesn't help, but I'm only a few mm's behind the KOPs ideal ( flawed as it may be ).

Had the same crap for me drysuit for diving, had to go custom or look like I was wearing a bin liner. :)

What you're describing sounds like standard sportive/relaxed geometry.

ISTR that the Infinito is marketed as such.
