    Dear Bruce Poker

I am delighted to see you decided to give out more money from the event in June. I won the tournament and only received 3100euro, so as you can imagine I'm over the moon you have decided to send me the extra 1900.

One more thing, that is a very handsome lad in the photo, however it is not me. Please dont send the money to him!!!

    Eagerly awaiting your check,

    G.D :pac:

    Excuse the heavy sarcasm.

They are saying on their website i got paid 5K for winning one of their tournaments, ie. advertising big payouts. Wasnt the case by a long way

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,156 ✭✭✭cuterob

was there a deal done? and on the website that is the original payouts before the deal?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 78 ✭✭FishFlop21

There was a deal done, I was at this event. Took a bit of negotiating to come to an agreement as far as I remember, But a deal was done. Thats a fact. If it means so much to ya I'm sure if ya send Bruce a nice email they will change the Info on their website,

Ye honestly, as far as I can remember there was a bit of a disagreement regarding what way the chop should be done, I think another player agreed to make a deal, then he changed his mind and another deal was done. So watever is on Bruces website is the correct prizepool, it was just paid out differently in the end.

Whatever about the deal, other guy didnt take home 3500, more like 2900 or 3000. So there was a lot less paid out then what they are saying. Expenses and advertising indeed!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 225 ✭✭j10spades

too tired to look the thread.. if i'm correct u got 3k + ticket..i got 3k and other 3 got 2.2k that works out 12.6k dunno if that includes the ticket, numbers may be off..it was a bad deal for us regardless of the dispute,a deal should never have been done 5 handed,my equity was like 4.2k euro when the deal was done

edit- imo what they put on the screen they paid out..that was not what the arguement that followed was about..its all old news now just leave it be

Hmmm not sure if i like this line....

You lead out with a semi-bluff. Damo raises and you 3bet him. Not sure why you 3bet here.

    Is it for information?
Is it to induce another move from Damo?
Is it to try and take it down there and then?

From my experience with Damo, one he raises you, he's almost never folding. I usually just let it go. Your 3bet will probably get snapped off by Damo because he'll 4bet ship all in, with everything he's got. if you want to call, fair enough but i dont think its profitable in the long run. Really bad play IMO

I'd just fold, show the bluff and move on before it gets out of hand.

90% of companies put up the prize money as it is before a deal is made. The likes of JP will come back and alter it for the deal.

There was €16,650 in the prizepool. If Brucepoker want to make this a €10k first prize, they have every right to say they paid out 10k for 1st prize. If the last 100 players want to take €165 each thats their own prerogative. I dont think they done anything wrong.

The likes of pokerstars etc have deals all the time, but sharkscope or any other tracking software will award the prize details as they are before the deal. Your hendon mob profile will also be a little better looking with the extra beside it..

LOL on a roll this week Tony, one small correction though, I'd say Damo will call light here. Damo does smell of Lasagne and chips though.
