Hi, I am in year 2 of Business studies and have just transferred from another college. Does anybody know if DCU has much links to getting jobs in America when you graduate such as internships or doing a year study in an American college? Don't really know who to talk with about this but just curious as I would love to go over to work/study at some stage?
    Thanks

The best thing is to talk to the Careers service for opportunities when you graduate or the Intra Office about securing an internship/INTRA placement for your third year. If you'd like to study abroad you should contact your course chair about facilitating this opportunity

there is an option to do your third year intra placement in the US, Boston i think, but there is HUGH competition. i was in 2nd year Business Studies last year (on INTRA now) and everyone went for the job. there is only one other course that offer a place in a US college as far as i know, Transatlantic Studies, but they only offer like 10 places a year

PS: Did you come from colaiste Dhulaigh???

ATT (Athletic Therapy and Training) have an option to study/train in the States for the first semester of final year.

I came from NCI last year and got in to DCU after getting a first in my exams. When you say huge competition, do you mean with regards to grades or is it more of an interview process that you have to get through? How did you manage to secure your intra placement and are you studying over there or working?
    Thanks

From what i've heard that usually goes to the student with the top marks

Wait a second, is the INTRA during 3rd year (as in its an option). I had intended on skipping straight ahead to final year next year instead of working for a year as I am already 23 and want to finish soon. So is there any options to study abroad in final year Business studies?
