Unless the law has changed in ireland since I left, they can't withold money from your pay without your consent.

Get onto your union. Drzhivago posts on here, and usually knows about this kind of thing. But you're going to need to speak to your rep about this.

AFAIK, you cannot take study leave for an exam unless that exam is within the six month period in which you take the study leave. so, if im reading you right, you took 5 days leave which you were not entitled to take. (not counting the course days)

    talk to your union rep.

    Hey,
If you took a pre-approved course, regardless of when your exam was, that leave should be fine, provided your consultant pre approved it in writing, and you submitted proof of attendance. There is a list of courses that we are allowed to take study leave for whenever.

Taking leave other that this I'm not so specific about. Call the IMO.

I need more info to ask this BUT

Study leave generally is within a contract period unless exam is immediately after the contract ie MRCPI used to be in 1st week January so reasonable to get study leave in December of previous job

Study leave is for studying and thats all, it covers 14 days leave

Course attendance is something different and you have an allowance of 7 days leave for attendance at courses, you may be attending a membership course but this is not study leave

dont understand what you mean about not paying final salary and wanting money back
