    SD
Todd Grisham and Michael Cole on commentary.

    * Kane comes out and says "Your team? We need to talk" to Chris Jericho. He says he is the new co-captain of team Smackdown. Jericho says, "Of course you are, I was thinking the same thing" and tries to put Kane over. Kane says that as far as he is concerned, the DX book and DX can all go up in flames.

    * Finlay vs. Mike Knox vs. Dolph Ziggler for a spot on Team Smackdown at Bragging Rights was up next. Ziggler actually got a pop. Ziggler pinned Knox after Finlay and Knox hit in the air on a cross body while Finlay had the shillelagh in his hands.

    * In a tag team Bragging Rights qualifier match, Cryme Tyme beat The Hart Dynasty when JTG pinned Tyson Kidd. Cryme Tyme is on Team Smackdown at the PPV.

    * Chris Jericho, with Michelle McCool, came and said that there will be three Raw vs. Smackdown
matches at the PPV and he can't count on Morrison winning so Jericho asks if he can count on McCool winning her match. McCool says she can beat anyone at any time. Mickie James walked in and said she has a better chance of beating a Raw diva. McCool went to leave and brushed into Beth Phoenix, who told her she won't be keeping her title for long.

    * CM Punk walked into Vince McMahon and said that the Fatal Fourway at the PPV is unfair. Vince agreed and said that he really liked the idea. Punk had last week so he's making a match for next week: Punk vs. Taker in a submission match with Scott Armstrong as the ref and Teddy Long at ringside.

    * Before a Bragging Rights qualifying match, Tony Chimmel introduced Vickie Guerrero. She got a ton of heat, you could barely hear her. She introduced Eric Escobar and as soon as she said his name, people stopped booing and just sat down. Wow. His opponent is Matt Hardy, to a big pop. Escobar won after Vickie distracted the ref, rammed Hardy into the turnbuckle and rolled him up. After the match the happy couple posed in the ring.

    * They aired a commercial for the new Batista DVD, which comes out this Tuesday.

    * John Morrison and The Miz had a really good Dirt Sheet, which ended with a stare-down and Miz backing down and leaving.

    * An R Truth-Drew McIntyre promo, followed by Truth walking backstage was next. They met in a match to determine the last spot on Team Smackdown for the PPV. McIntyre won via countout after he threw Truth back-first in to the ringside steps.

    * We went backstage with Rey Mysterio and Batista. Batista said that he isn't sure about his match against Rey because they are like brothers. Batista said that they will both have to do what is needed to win at the PPV. Rey said that this is one time he wishes they could team up, but with Punk being so jaded it shouldn't be too hard and The Undertaker, well Rey reminded us that he is a former champ and can do what it takes to win.

    * Taker appeared in the Tron. To paraphrase, he said it has been said that history has a way of repeating itself but not in my yard. Teddy Long, Scott Armstrong and Punk are all tempting fate in trying to take the title from Hell's grip. Once you enter Hell's Gate, there is no way out and at Bragging Rights Punk, I will take your soul, but next week in their match he will read Punk his last rights.

    * Rey vs. Batista is up next. Rey hit the 619 on Dave, then jumped off of the outside rope onto his shoulders, Dave went for a Batista Bomb but Rey turned it into a hurricanrana and got the win. After the match they celebrated together and hugged then Rey pandered to the crowd.

    * Batista left the ring and Rey stood on top of the different ring posts posing. Punk came out and hit Rey. Batista came out and made the save. Batista picked Rey up and they left together, posing on the stage.

    Superstars
Mark Henry defeated Chris Masters to earn the final spot on Team RAW at Bragging Rights. The hot crowd let out what seemed a collective sigh when Masters came out. Masters eventually dominated after a botched Sunset Flip spot. Henry attempted a World's Strongest Slam but couldn't hit it because Masters worked his leg over. Henry finally hit The World's Strongest Slam soon after that for the win.

    Vladimir Kozlov defeated Tommy Dreamer.

CM Punk took on John Morrison in a really good match. The Miz ran in at the end before Morrison could do Starship Pain and kicked Miz once and rolled out, so Punk won by DQ. Morrison gave a kick to a recovering Punk and Morrison's music closed Superstars.

can anyone else see a Batista heel turn?

i know the DVD's out so it's unlikely, but this 'man-love' with Rey seems to puke-inducing to last.

    maybe it's just wishful thinking.

i just can't wait for Miz v Morrison.

Yes, it's well overdue, but I was hoping he could have had a feud with Punk before he turns heel.

Please no more Hart Dynasty VS Cryme Tyme matches.
I thought about a Dave turn as well, he could do with his character been freshened up.

the thing is, with the DVD out I don't know if they'll bother.

also, his career isn't lasting too much longer if rumours are to be believed? i may be wrong.

if true, i don't know if they'd bother putting that much effort in to turn him.

i'd f*cking love to see him beat the holy bejaysus out of Rey; and that's no huge slight on Rey. i'm just sadistic and would love to see it, plus it would give Dave a welcome boost.

Anyone think Matt could be on the way? I think they could build him back up since he has returned and put him in the IC chase

Morrison still doesn't seem comfortable on the mic to me. His words are not coming out naturally enough and this is why, in spite of being the lesser talented of the two in the ring, that the Miz will have more success. Morrison needs to step up drastically in regards to promos.

They were harsh enough on poor Marty Janetty imo.

He was fine when trash talking the Miz but once he started to get all serious and had to shout at The Miz it was very hard to take serious. I suppose it’s not his fault he sounds like a child who has yet to hit puberty. :(

Exactly that's where the recap began on WWE Experience (or whatever it's called now). He's a long way away from making you believe in what he's saying like HBK and Flair.

I thought serious Jo Mo worked pretty well. It doesn't matter how low or high pitched the voice is, he got his point acrosss, he came across as a guy with intent and waiting to kick some ass so Job done.

I predicted on the RAW thread that Smackdowns team would be Jericho and a bunch of undercarders. Looks like RAW has this one in the bag. ECW could put together a team with more star power than Smackdown's.

    I totally disagree! :o
I think the main purpose of the bragging Rights match will be to set up a Jerishow v DX match for Survivor Series, so I expect Show to turn on the Raw guys and help SD and most importantly Jericho win.
Cena to turn up on the SD team is another possibility as well, if they decide to move him, which I don't think they will.

Compare the teams. Team RAW is captained by two bona fide maineventers and Hall of Fame shoe-ins. Team Smackdown! is captained by Jericho and Kane. I'll say nothing bad about Chris Jericho, but Kane hasn't been a maineventer for years. He is someone who can very easily be moved up and down the card, which is to his credit, but he is no HBK or HHH. In fact, even the Big Show has more star power than Kane, having been involved in more high profile matches and storylines, and having held more World Titles. So after Jericho and Kane, who do Smackdown! have as their third man? Dolph Ziggler, a rising star, but one who has lost repeatedly on PPV while vying for a second-tier belt. He's in a situation comparable with the 6th biggest star on Team RAW, Kofi Kingston. Cryme Tyme, despite getting rubs from hanging with Shaq and beating Jericho, are still a long way off appearing as a legitimate threat to anyone above the midcard. Meanwhile RAW also have a former main-eventer in Mark Henry, who, like Swagger, was the face of the third brand. They also have Cody, who mainevented the last PPV and has been very high profile since DX reunited. The rest of Team Smackdown! is two rookies. Escobar has had one match. McIntyre has had, what, three?
