In case anyone didn't get the email.

I think CDWOW have really turned themselves around lately, gotten some amazing bargains and all delivered promptly.

eg: Shawshank Redemption bluray: €4.99. Eastern Promises bluray €6.69. Commando bluray: €7.

Also a pile of great books for €1.99 each.

I know people have had problems with them in the past but I think they deserve a second chance.

I also know they've been shafted royally a few times. From reading on forums there was a bunch of people that used order games from them, say it was lost in the post and demand another copy - of course the first one arrived too. I think started introducing transit insurance now.

Also, in 2004 they were fined a ridiculous £41 million after the British Phonographic industry pressured the high courts.
All they were doing was was selling legal Hong kong releases over the internet. at the time CDs were retailing for about 14 pound sterling!

They've also sorted their search facility out it seems - you can now order by lowest price, relevance, release date etc.

The €1.99 books were from an earlier promotion.
Sorry I wasn't clear on this.

Gave them a 2nd chance the other week, ordered a bluray movie and it took over 3 weeks to get delivered.

No more chances and plenty of other online retailers out to there who deliver a lot faster.

Yeah delivery took ages for me but at the price I got the Blurays it was worth it. But if another site was charging slightly more for something I wanted I would not go with CDWow.

Cdwow are great! Just got about 50 books that were waiting for me in the sorting office that I bought in the promotion jaytee mentioned:) If their price is the best, I will go with them especially after they honoured all my book orders (which they must have lost a bundle on!)

They are also now selling vinyl. I got 2 7" 'Record store day' singles from them for €1.99 and they are hard to find. Was delighted they have them in stock. Also got 2 albums delivered promptly.

I have to say that CD Wow lately have been very good price-wise for various things I happened to be looking for. They are prone to the occasional slow delivery, though (one CD recently took over three weeks to get here). However, I got my first voucher recently under their member scheme or whatever it's called, which I wasn't expecting as I had forgotten I even joined! So even though I wasn't deliberately buying from them to get the voucher, I was able to get the new special edition Rammstein CD for about a fiver!
