iphone usage on Meteor

    Hi Guys

    im thinking of getting an unlocked/jailbroken iphone and am a meteor customer. with regards to internet usage for the apps is there a package available where u pay a flat rate each month to have unlimited useage. has any body tried this? just want to make sure before i part with my cash.:D also if anyone on here knows of anyone selling a jailbroken or unlocked iphone let me no.

    also is anyone using an iphone on meteor? could you tell me if you can get any app to work on a jailbroken or unlocked phone. i heard that apps require software updates at times would they not brick the phone if apps need to be run on the latest software?

    Meteor have two data packages for bill pay and one for PayG.

    The Bill Pay ones are 4.99 for 250megs or 14.99 for 10gigs. Realistically, if you are careful, 250 should be fine. PayG is 99c per day for up to 50megs.

    Apps will work fine. You can't update your firmware until it's been jailbroken, and 3.0.1 is the latest version that can be jailbroken/unlocked.

    cheers for that Chris. Been looking at the idea of getting one for a while now was gona settle with the ipod touch but the iphone seems to be the way forward. now all i have to do is find one ha ha

    meteor bill pay lite 10 euro per month. 10 gig add on is 14.99 great deal considering with 10 gig you can use fring for calls and skype and basically stay on 24/7 if you wish... best ever iphone tarrif IMO

    im on bill pay 10 and they refused to give me the 10gb addon. (nothing more we can do sir - customer service).

    so im stuck on the 250mb addon. try anyway to get the 10gb and let us know if you managed!

    It was Friday the 9th oct. So last week and meteor had no problems with the 10 gig add on then. And a friend signed up for bill pay lite 10 2 days ago and got the 10 gig add on sorted.

    You probabally have to wait a month cancel the 250mb then apply for the 10 gig again, just watch your usesge while you have no add on as it can get expensive.

    i have the 250mb add on for a fiver a month, and with pretty high usage i struggle to use up all of it...
