I'll go with Chris on this at €15,000

Books at €14,700 with 56,000miles on, but leather makes it worth a bit more.

    Thanks all,

So its probably a bargain at 13.5K - i havent seen it yet, anything i should look out for on this model. Its the E60 BTW.

Should any BMW garage have the service history of this car or do i need to know where it was serviced?

    13.5 isn't too shabby. Offer 13.
I got a 2005 523i a couple of months ago (no leather, 40k miles) for 16k if that's any indicator.

The service book should be stamped with the garages where it was serviced.
Mine had been serviced in one particular garage so I rang them up and they gave me some details over the phone and said that as far as they were concerned, the car was in great condition.

Bring it for a spin and get a mechanic to run a diagnostic to see if there are any error codes - it can help with your bargaining.

Be sure to get a HPI check done on the car to make sure there is no outstanding finance on it.

......Only if it was imported from the UK.Otherwise a cartell report will do the job.

I think that 12-13k would be right.

An 05' 530d Msport with 50k'ish can be picked up for 14-16 now, so bear that in mind.
