A&K SR-25 Review.

Straight of the bat the gun comes with removable flip up iron sights, a 1200 small type 9.6 mah battery, wall charger, usual cheapo foregrip, a QD silencer, a 450ish round hi-cap and the usual clearing rods and screw drivers.

    Build quality:
Very sturdy all steel body with a nice weight to it. Body is matte finished with little sheen, no trademarks but one of the first things you'll notice is the Full Auto marking unlike the G&P and G&G SR-25's that still do have the cut out under the switch to allow it to pass over the stop to select Full auto but lack the marking. The RIS is rock solid with no wobble or movement from it. Body pins seem a little dodgy to me as the screw hole on the pin's are completely off centre. The ejection port sports a mock bolt which is utterly useless and only gets in the way, I took it out. The QD silencer locks into place very well and its foamed fill. Stock is a standard m16 type that hold the battery. Gun weighs in at around 11 pounds/5kg (with scope attached)

    Performance:

Out of the box the BB's were barely making it out the barrel, hop up rubber was extremely hard and dried out which isn't surprising as its also intended for the higher FPS market. Inner Barrel it came with was a bog standard 509mm, swapped that out for a Madbull 6.03 650mm which protrudes out the outer barrel but is covered perfectly by the silencer. The tightbore coupled with a Madbull shark 60 degree hop up is giving me enough accuracy to hit a man sized target at 50m with a spread of 5ish" grouping with a .20. FPS is in the high 290's and low 300's.

    Internals:
Haven't even thought about opening it unless it breaks so the extent of my knowledge is that the gear box is an extended v2 like a TM PSG1, G&P SR-25 and the CA SR-25. So I'm presuming after market parts for them would fit, but that's only an assumption. Can't comment on the motor that comes standard either as Puding swapped it out for me as it was crap (Puding can probable shed some light on that). Hop up unit is metal with nylon gears that are very stiff but effective.

    Mag Compatibility:
Only tried the G&P 170rd midcaps but they feed flawlessly and fits like a glove, there 19$ from ehobby. And as far as I know CA mags fit too.

Over all it's a brilliant AEG to base a DMR project around, with little work need to get it shooting good. If I was going to do internal upgrades I'd say a good shim job and lubing is needed to quieten it down a little bit and to get it shooting smoother.
I bought it through Cork Airsoft Shop who got it in for €220, thanks to Horgan_p:)

Apologies if I killed your browser with pic, but for good measure here a few more.
