    Hi guys,

Sorry for a possible repeat thread but can someone please tell me how to turn off the tyre pressure monitor on this crock of ****te as it is doing my head!! Everyday its flashing and its really annoying!!

Is there a simple solution because there is no way I am handing renault over any more money as I have spent enough on the thing already!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!:D

I put mine into a kerb one day and the front tyres started flashing. Pumped them up at the garage and the flashing stopped. I'm thinking you've probably already tried this though.

You haven't had the tyres rotated have you? (Moved from front wheels to back wheels etc.) I believe the wheels are colour coded to the hubs and if you change them it gives the flat error.

Otherwise, see if you can find which fuse controls the warning and pray it doesn't control something else as well before you pull it out.

    No everything as normal.

Was reading somewhere that a red 10 amp fuse(second on right) to pull it out when the engine is running and it cuts out the engine but when you put it back in again and start the engine it dissables the tyre pressure system everything else works though.

Very worried about trying it though!!!

    Anyone any suggestions????

I now a red STOP light on the dash board and the rear left wheel is flashing non-stop even it is at the correct pressure and everything!

Any advice on how to turn this bloody system off would be great (besides crashing into a wall or something)

I know that they can be disabled by the renault dealer very quickly by changing the configuration of the car to tell it that it doesn't have tyre pressure sensors.

It means your tyre pressure is low. Sometimes, cold temperatures can trip it off, especially if the pressure is marginal as it is. When the tyre warms up, the pressure inside increases.

It can also malfunction if you've had to change wheels after having a puncture.

Either way, it's harmless. If it's really bothering you, just cover it with a piece of tape.
