    Hi All,

    Perhaps you can help,

A friend of mine is trying to claim some benefits which he is entitled to. He needs to proove he is living at a certain address for more than a year. He isnt the bill payer at this address so is a bit confused as to how to proove he lives there. Is there a way he can get a letter from a guarda station or something?

    Thanks.

Has he signed a lease? His name will be on that if he has.
Are bank statements or any official post sent to him at that address? That is also considered proof of address.
Have you asked will they accept a utility bill in someone else's name with a letter from that person stating they live there?

Yes they will accept a bank statement or a mobile phone bill. Also as suggested above try getting the bill payer to sign a letter for them.
