What is the difference between The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening and The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX?

Am I correct to assume that they are the same game with the exception that the first one is for the normal Gameboy and the DX version is for the Gameboy Color?

The DX version is the same as the gameboy one but oly for the ganeboy colour with improved graphics and colour. Same game essential other than the visuals. There's two other zelda games on the gameboy colour, Oracle of seasons and oracle of time. They were made by resident evil developer capcom flagship and are both fantastic despite not getting the attention they deseve. Also they are probably the two toughest zelda games so expect a good healthy challenge.

There is an extra dungeon in Links Awakening DX, only accessible if you play it on a GBC.

I finished a linked game of the Oracle series last year and they were fantastic (you can play one game, get a code during the ending, start the second game using the code to continue the story, and you get an extra dungeon and bosses at the end of the second game for the "true" ending).

All 3 are great games, and would be great additions to the DSi store.

I managed to get Links Awakening DX and Oracle of Ages off ebay. Links Awakening DX was easy enough to complete and Oracle of Ages gets a lot tougher that most other Zelda games in the later dungeons. I am currently stuck in the 5th dungeon and I'm not going to check gamefaqs for a solution, I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to Zelda games.

Buying the first two Zelda episodes on the Gameboy color was easy enough but Oracle of seasons is a bit of a tough one to get, especially when I have limited myself to 10euro and no more for a cartridge only, that's including postage. Ebay Ireland doesn't have any to offer and ebay UK tends to be a bit unreasonable with the P&P. I have also tried other Ebay's

    • Germany (really polite and nice folk)
    • France (very odd looking ebay and over priced goods)
    • Spain (not a lot of GB stuff here)
    • Belgium(really polite and nice folk)
    • Austria(really polite and nice folk)
    • Switzerland(really polite and nice folk)
Obviously because of the extra distance the postage rate inflates the price out of my expenditure limit. Can anyone recommend a site that I might be able to get it from? I am just looking for the cartridge only, I don't need the box and the instructions.
