    Hi all,

Folks are heading for Portugal with my grandparents in May. They are looking for somewhere to stay in or around the Praia De Rocha or Portimao area with a nice quiet beach with no steps or a long trip to the beach.

My mother is well travelled when it comes to sun holidays, believe you me, but she wouldn't usually have to factor this into the trip, so...

Basically, she wants somewhere where they go from apartments to beach in a few steps, and not down steps. Grandmother has a bad knee.

    Thanks in advance :D

Most beaches there have a whole bunch of steps to go down. However, probably the 'main' entrance to the beach (by the post office and police station) has - as far as I remember - no steps or very few (4/5). The Jupiter Hotel is right across the road and is very nice.

We stayed in Jardin du Vau just outside Praia De Rocha. We had a ground floor two bedroom apartment. As far as I remember there were only a few steps to the beach.
