Did anyone experience this at weekend

    Since middle of august the training has been heavy on with two half marathons and load of long runs from 18-22 miles.

    On sat i decided to do 13 miles 30 secs slower than my half marathon pace and i died at mile 12.

    Now i take it my body is probably tired and only recovering now with tappering but did anyone else experience anything like it?

    I'm in exactly the same boat as you average_runner - have been through a pretty tough 4 months and into the second week of my taper for DCM now. I have definitely noticed that I'm feeling sluggish - I felt great for the first 6/7 miles of a 12 mile run last Sunday but was struggling by the end of it. I've also noticed that I am way more tired than usual & concentration not as good as before...also a few marathon doubts creeping in!
