Dunno if there was a thread like this before(stupid search) but what series are you massive fan of that you feel everyone you know have just forgotten about?
The 2 that come to my mind are The Tick(live action series) and God,the Devil and Bob.Both funny as hell but only lasted one series :D

Anyone remember a sitcom that had Jennifer Grey as herself (post nosejob) called It's Like...You Know. Used to be on Network 2 back when it was called that. I loved it.

    The Critic
Phil Silvers Show (hasn't aged much)
    The Drew Carey Show

The modest adventures of David O'Doherty. How that didn't get a second series is beyond me. Dan & Becks was always entertaining as well

The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr - Bruce Campbell was great in it :D

    The Lone Gunmen (X-Files spinoff!)

    Space Above and Beyond!

+1 Although I re-watched it recently and it has not aged well. Regardless, the episodes that centred around nipple neck Hawkes are still fantastic.

The only other show I can think of that got cancelled recently and seems to of been forgotten is Jericho. Had a really excellent premise that they could of expanded on in any number of ways, yet it was prematurely cancelled before it could reach a definite conclusion.

Birds of Prey - it was about Batman and Catwoman's daughter

Huff - Hank Azaria as a psychiatrist with marriage problems and Oliver Platt as his coke-addled lawyer friend. Killed off after two very good seasons.

    Opposite Sex....Fox show circa 2000, last 8 eps.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opposite_Sex_%28TV_series%29

    I really liked it alot.

Dark Angel was very entertaining in my opinion. Produced by James Cameron it introduced the world to Jessica Alba.

    Wiseguy

Great show but many people don't remember it. It ran for a few years and apparently a TV movie was later on but I never saw it.

    Some connection with Seinfeld?????

Bod, The Devil and Bob was good.

My So Called Life hasn't been forgotten about.
Birds of Prey - it was about Batman and Catwoman's daughter

I was looking forward to this one, from the creators of Smallville. The 3D action sequences really ruined it.
Gargoyles! God I loved that show. Anyone remember Space precinct 2040? Some cheese but was a good laugh.

Gargoyles from Disney brilliant. Space Precinct was a BBC co-production and it has some connection to Thunderbirds.
The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr - Bruce Campbell was great in it

Yeah used to love this and Robcop the TV series which used to air on Saturday nights on RTÉ One.

    Moon over Miami anyone?

Dark Skies - left hanging in mid-air.

There were a few of those X-files type shows in the Mid-1990, Debra Messing was in one called Prey, the intro was ROFL.

It sounds funnier in English! It is just scary in German (it could be dutch). In the English version there are fairly big pauses before the words US, THEM and PREY.

"Cupid" starring Jeremy Piven, only 15 episodes in 1998. This was the first time I saw Piven and really liked his acting skills...

I loved season 1 but a lot of season 2 was complete crap. They had sorted it out though and it was getting better towards the end of S2 but by then they had already shot themselves in the foot. Pity really.

Freaks and Geeks was, I think the only series never to Jump the Shark according to the jump the shark website.

    Anyone remember Traveler?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traveler_(TV_series)

The show got cancelled half way through season one . It was a well produced action show with some good acting and a decent plot. The plot centred around two college graduated who were fugitives after being framed for a bombing in NY by "domestic" US terrorists. Apparently it was a little close to the bone for americans to accept that other americans could also be terrorists and the show got cancelled

I used to think it was quality. If I watched it now, I might think otherwise ;).

First time I saw Kevin Spacey in something and when a 'cop drama' includes lines about Malthusian theory of population growth, you realise the writers are aiming high.

Oh, and the things I thought of involving Joan Severence :o

At the end it had descended into classic jump the shark territory.

About 37% of all threads on the Television forum will at some point contain the words 'freaks and geeks'. It's hardly a forgotten series.

Anyone remember Cover Up from the 80s? The Bonnie Tyler theme tune is probably the most memorable thing about it.

Yeah. Can actually remember the announcement on RTE that the lead actor had been killed on set.

A show that I remember watching regularly was Nowhere Man. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nowhere_Man_(TV_series)

Cover Up I thought that was the intro to the Fall Guy. I always wonder were that intro went to, It looks really bad, really 80s.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,161 ✭✭✭frag420

Profit. It was on the box about 96/97. Always remember the last episode as the main character did a runner and ended up in

    Ireland.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Profit_(TV_series)

Another one was The Nowhere Man which got only one season on NET 2. Was a great show.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nowhere_Man_(TV_series

Others i remember were the Misfits of Science, The Fall Guy, BeachCombers and of the course The Kids of Degrassi High/Street

Don't know if Degrassi is a forgotten about TV series. Beach Comber I hated that show it used to be on Net 2 before Jo Maxi.

I don't know about Nowhere Man, the main character was a bit annoying, I much perfered American Gothic.

    ^ + 1 American Gothic

    Anyone remember

The Young Riders - 3e are repeating this show again

    or

Winnetka Road (it was 6 episodes i think it starred Josh Brolin and Paige Turco)

Anyone recall the Tim Minear series 'Drive' from 2/3 years ago? Only lasted about 6/7 episodes, but they were fantastic! And starred Nathan Fillion!
