I think I'm getting genital warts, I noticed this afternoon and now I'm totally para about it... What do I do?

I use condoms whenever I have a one night stand, which isn't often at all. So not really too sure how this could be happening. I used to have some warts on my fingers a few years ago, could that be the cause?

And they lasted over two years, please tell me that if I do have actual genital warts they won't take that long to go away?

Assuming that I have got genital warts, do I have to abstain? How long for? I'm a pretty responsible person, so I wouldn't get into anything as long as I'm "infected" like this but how long would I have to wait? (TBH I don't really feel interested in going out on the pull right now at all, actually I feel totally unclean for want of a better word :(

    This is mortfying...

I guess I need to go to hopsital or something, I found the GUIDE place in Jamses. but they only take people on Tuesday afternoon I think but I can't take afternoons off work this week, way too much going on recession etc, think if I show up in the morning they'll take pity on me and do whatever they do?

    OMFG

Find a doctors office first. But otherwise, thats the only answer youre going to get from here.

Rough sex and in particular rough oral sex can give you bumps *very* similar to genital warts on the tip of you flute (assuming you're a man?). It's like a lovebite/hickey, for all the world. If this is what you have it will be gone in a few days. Check the expose time to symptom time period and see if it's coinsistent with warts.

You need to visit a GP or (preferably) an STD clinic. There's no other answer. They see nasty sh1t all day long, and won't bat an eyelid. Just go man.

Go to your doc but you should know Genital warts are spread through the HPV, it's a virus. It can spread through SKIN contact, it doesn't need bodily fluids.

No point going to your GP, they'll just send you to GUIDE. Don't waste the money. But do whatever you have to do to go, take the time off. Their very professional and discreet in there, however you will have a long wait. Bring something to read!

Go to one of these. Seriously. And keep away from the one night stands until you do.

GUIDE is not the only option, you can also go to a private sexual health clinic; although they will charge you for a screen.

Warts can be contracted even if you wear a condom and there's no cure. You may get rid of the warts, but you'll always have the virus. Don't fret too much that this is the end of your sex life, OP, because the vast majority of the sexually active population carry the HPV virus.

Go get a diagnosis and talk to someone about what you need to do to keep your partners safe.

And GUIDE don't test for genital warts. The doctor told me "we assume everyone has them". They are that common.

A lot of people carry the virus. They just tend to flare up if you are run down or not taking care of yourself. Bit like coldsores.

They could be those pearly penile papules, not giving medical advice but don't panic yet until you know the facts.

Very hard to do I know.

They will examine you and give you the cream to get rid of them.
