Buying a Chevrolet Kalos

    Friend of mine is looking at buying a Kalos, specifically this one, ttp://www.carzone.ie/search/Chevrolet/Kalos/1.2iLOWM/200940195388124/advert?channel=CARS

    Mywheels.ie says 4 owners, the dealer says 2 but that will be easily sorted, bit strange to have 2 owners and only 15,000 miles.

    What are Kalos' like, reliability and so on, any major issues to look out for?

    I would not rate them much beyond basic a to b transport.

    I would much rather spend my money on something like this:

    Thanks for that, but she won't be using it for much more than driving around Dublin, rarely going down the country, just wondering what they're like for reliability and so on.

    Afaik,if the original owner traded it to a garage,that becomes two owners. Repeat the process and that's four.At leat as far as mywheels is concerned.

    Cheap and not very cheerful sums it up. Reliability is grand; pretty much as you'd expect from a korean built motor. Thousands were sold to rental fleets to boost sales figures.

    Bettered by most competitors, not great to drive and very cheap-feeling interiors. Tell your friend to drive a similarly priced corsa, fabia or anything else back to back with the Kalos and they'll soon make up their mind!
