Well,l I touched the other car's mirror and it's broken. I thought to pay for it myself as i guess involving insurance company would cost me more in the future (for the points, am I wrong?). I got paper work from the owner of that car today, he got a quote from a garage - €380 to replace the mirror:
    parts: €94
    paint: €59
    labour: €176 (3 hours work!?)
    VAT: €45

Could anyone advise if it's a fair price as i feel that 176 it's a bit too much? Make of the car is Opel Astra 05.

    Thank you for any advice.

The price seems reasonable, and I would guess is little greater than your insurance excess.

A driver scaped the rear paint off my rear bunmper, and it cost her 1000.

any idea how much the actual mirror would be for a 03 citroen? Someone smashed mine on the street so its just the actual glass mirror I need, the plastic 'wing' is fine.

Lads, try micksgarage.ie (and no, I don't work for them!)...I got a wing mirror off them 6 months ago and it's just fine and dandy.

remember someone looking for a mirror the other day for an astra. I looked on micks garage and it was about 140 or something for the whole unit primed ready for paint. Cant be much to spray or for the glass. Maybe about 250 max to be honest. No need for a main dealer. An indy would be cheaper
