Wireless was working fine up until about 2 months ago - only getting time to look into it now. Basically internet works fine via cable but can't connect to the wireless. The network shows up in the search but can't connect. Have tried everything. Eircom say its my laptop but have same problem with other laptops & phones.
    Have tried everything, please help

Some details would help..model of modem/router, type of encryption etc.

the router may be old and faulty,

try a full diagnostics over here

try eircom and say your laptop is able to work fine on other networks and other eircom wireless networks and claim it to be a faulty router,

Turn off wireless encryption and see if you can connect.

    Have you tried changing channel?

Download netstumbler and that will show if there are any nearby wireless networks using the same channel.

Have you added any wireless gizmos in the house lately?

As others have suggested it could be your router - could you borrow a wireless router and substitute it in your set up?
