Medical for running half marathon in Paris

    Hi guys,

Anyone know what I need to get on a medical cert in order to run a half marathon over in Paris. Not too sure what I need so I thought someone here might know what's required. Apparently it's part of French law to have a medical cert in any road events and I can't run without it. I assume just a letter from a doctor isn't enough??

    Any ideas what's needed?

    Cheers....

Just a letter from your GP should be enough. I needed one for a race I did in Switzerland, but was never asked to produce it.

It needs quite specific wording. They were giving a few people a hard time about this last year. There's a template you can copy from on the web site.

    Hi Phily,

I had to provide one this year when running the Paris Marathon.

As mentioned above, the best thing to do is to just download the template from the official race site and just get your doc to stamp and sign it.

Unless you've had a recent medical with your GP, you may need to actually visit with him/her and explain to your doc that your in good health and have trained etc..
