A guy I work with is having a little bother with the wheels on his car. They are the polished finish double spoke wheels on an E-Class like these:

He used a wheel cleaner on them about 3 weeks ago and now they are covered in corrosion. Anyone know of anywhere around Waterford or Dublin that he can get them sorted? Think the polished finish is going to make it difficult. He's had a quote from Collins Engineering but it's quite scary:eek:

Acidic wheel cleaners and highly polished alloys =

Cheap repair jobs are usually bad jobs especially on non-standard finishes or polished rims as opposed to ordinary silver painted ones with clearcoat. Nu-Luk in the North are the best, but if you think Collins are expensive, you have seen nothing yet. :D

    Was it Wonder Wheels?

I keep a bottle of that for when the drains get blocked! Lethal stuff.

Cheers for the replies lads. Its the polished finish is the killer. I think he's going to try MB but wouldn't hold out much hope. Ill pass on the info. Think it may have been wonder wheels alright...
