    Hey

I'm a third year film student at IADT National Film School and i'm looking to do a short documentry on irish professional wrestling. I'm looking to get a taste of the scene and life of this sport in ireland and wish to do this through the fans and the wrestlers involved.

So i'm asking for anyone who is invovled in the sport who can offer me some info. I'm looking to talk to some wrestlers, from all levels of expierance currently active who would be willing to have their lives documented for camera. This would hopefully include everything from training, to then live performance, the selection of name, the daily lives. I want to see the IRISH side of wrestling.

This project is still in the early stages but it is something that will be made within the next few months with hopes to go around the film festivel circuit if made well enough. We have no budget just to warn you now, so this isn't a paid gig but more for the love of the sport and to see how well ireland has a country accepts it.

Look forward to any info people can offer. The more wierder the better.
please contact me at hugh_noonan@hotmail.com if you want to hear more.

    Cheers

You should have went to the cym cricket club yeaterday in Terenure. Irish whip wrestling was having an event.

You could do a fly on the wall documentary of a shopping trip to Easons' with Conor Hurley.

    I'd watch.

Naturally bai. You'd be the star, winner by pinfall after 4 and a half minutes with a pull across the ankles with a 33 inch hurl. Gersie abu.

With a bonus feature of Conor driving to the Easons. It's not that far, you know

Well, I wrote an article on the scene (The recent Dubliner one) if you're interested in reading for background... Won't subject people to it here, but I can fire it over: feel free to PM!

I don't think it'll be going online as i'd want to to travel the festivel circuit first and then maybe sell it to RTE or TnaG, as i'd think they'd be interested in it.

Hey geeky, yeah i read that piece and thats where i got the idea. So yeah if you could offer me any additional info or warnings on the subject that would be cool.

My main question is, who did you right the story on as in which of the irish clubs? and how easy was it to get interviews and access?
