    I am continueing to research an idea i have to create a service that is lacking in Ireland.

    Is it possible to obtain information from other service sector LTD companies in Ireland from the CSO or Revenue department? If so, how do I go about obtaining it..

    basically, Establishing a company in a recession is tricky in terms of predicting customer count, turnover and expenses.

    thanks in advance.. :D

    Ive been making some progress, and i see this page on the CSO site.

    http://www.cro.ie/search/

    From here i can obtain details of companies for €2.50 each.

    This will get me : "business name's name, previous name, registered office, type, registration date, owners and a list of each submission that has been received or registered."

    but im not 100% as to what all is available for the €2.50. What is contained within each submission? does it give a break down of turnover and accounts?

    hoping someone can assist :)

    Are you looking for PLC accounts if so, you won't find them on cro.

    If you are looking for ltd companeis you will find them on cro.ie.

    That list of things you can buy are not for a company, they are for a business and will not have any account details/

    Then you can get them from the cro

    Go cro.ie
    -> serach page
    -> type in company name
    -> click list company submission
    -> you want the
    Sub Type: B1 annual return Doc Type: Account details

    Note is they are audit exempt, which most companies are, there will be very little info in the accounts.

    sound, thanks for that..

    i'll give it a go anway, I dont need a full breakdown of their accounts, however that would be favourable, but if i could get at least the turnover then it would be very worthwhile.

    thanks again Ken

    You probably won't get turnover figures either unfortunately because most companies will file abridged accounts if they can.

    Pretty save to assume if they're filing abridged accounts without a P&L or turnover details then their turnover's below €1.5m.

    If the file abridged accounts and there's an abridged P&L included, turnover still won't be included, it'll only start a Gross Profit. But turnover's probably gonna be over €1.5m then.

    the audit exemption limit for turnover is €7.3m
