I'm hoping to find out who owns a piece of land near me in co. cork. I'll be in dublin next week and plan to drop into the land registry office. Is the information there or do I have to go to waterford?
Also I have the folio number for the piece of land in question. The map I got it from however is old and I think the land may have been subdivided since, would I be able to find out if it has at the office?
Finally do I need anything more than the number?
    Thanks

If it's too much trouble to go to Waterford, your solicitor probably has access to the land registrys online service - landdirect.ie.

You can search the map by folio number and highlight the boundaries of that folio on the interactive map. You can then download the folio to see who is the registered owner

The mapped folio bondaries isn't available for al counties yet, but it is available for Cork.

This option will require money too :)
