    Hi all,

Training for first Dublin City Marathon.

Have correct good pair of runners (gait analysis done etc).

Past 2 weeks - following increase in long weekend runs - my ankles are sore.
    i.e. during and after run.
Left ankle in particular - has become a bit swollen.
(Guessing my legs / ankles just not used to the pounding their getting over the longer distances........)

Any hints / tips / recommendations to cure and even better - prevention?

Here's a hint, tip along to a physio and seek their recommendation for a cure.

If your ankles are getting swollen then there's something wrong somewhere. A good physio should be able to identify the weakness and prescribe some exercises to help you around it. If you're planning on keeping up the running then it's money well spent...

Sorry, but as per site wide rules we cannot give you any medical advice other than the above, get to a professional and get it checked.
