Seeing a new gf for last 7 or so weeks..we get on REALLY well..all is good so not really a relationship issue but..

Her bday is coming up (we're both 40s and separated, good jobs etc etc..)

What does one buy for a girl that I'm still in the process of getting to know properly??
Thought of treating her to a night away in some fab hotel??
Any thoughts? It's important to ME to get this right...

Flowers and a poem written by you about your budding relationship? (No Hallmark card mass consumer rubbish). Deliver them to her over a candle light dinner?

I think you've hit the nail on the head with the night away OP.
    Go for it!

As long as she knows about it in advance and you've already spent the night together, I can't see anything wrong with it.
You could always book her in for a massage/facial if you fancied pushing the boat out while you're at it!

    Have fun!

    Hiya OP here..

Yeah we've been staying over at each others so no issues there..

Re the hotel thing......would a girl not prefer something tangible rather than a night away?
Mind you she has been rather starved of affection etc for ages so she might love this..

Unless anything better is suggested I'll go with this :-)

@Blue_Lagoon..thanks for suggestion, might just do that AS WELL :)

I think the night away in a nice hotel is a good idea with a nice meal in a fancy restaurant is the way to go.

    a poem

    :D

Nothing too mushy or deep. It's only been 7 weeks. A nice break away would be nice, somewhere with a spa so she could get some treatments during the day and with a nice restaurant for the candle lit meal.
Some flowers waiting for her in the room and basically just a nice relaxing weekend for her.
Tangible gifts are great but what woman wouldn't want a weekend of relaxation, good food, good company and good sex :D

You can go waaaay wrong with a gift. Very little can go wrong with a weekend of spoiling.
