I took a bang on my foot last week and it hasn't got any better one week on. I'm going to A&E this evening to get an x-ray so fingers crossed it's not broken. More than likely not gonna be fit for tomorrow though.

Never had a bad foot injury before so no idea if it's serious. But one week on and it hasn't improved would suggest it's not good news. Though I can walk on it fine and it's not that swollen. We shall see anyway

you just need to hang in there man. ive been there up to 6 hours before. maybe your gp would be a better option first.

I hope it wasn't a Simpsons thing where they had to cut it our before it exploded :D

Shame to be losing him though

Yeh that's a blow but Andy will get his chance to impress. I'm gonna head to the VHI place in DCU. Not waiting in A&E again. So in about two hours should know the extent of the damage.

Just realised this match is actually a 19:15 kick-off. It's listed in the Fixtures list as a 21:00 kick-off, what's the deal with that - did they change the fixtures again or just this one?

I have to work late and will be lucky to make the second half of this game, might miss the whole lot. Could have planned ahead if I had known last week that the kick-off was 19:15, poxy Astro.ie

Des, can you post a link to the Astro league table in the Fixtures & Results sticky (so it's easy to find from any computer) and post an update in that thread whenever Astro.ie email with changes (I use that list to plan my work schedule and travel dates).

Fúck, profuse apologies Jules, this is my fault.

It was pointed out to me last week that the fixtures had indeed been changed again. I forgot to update that thread, totally slipped my mind.

    Sorry. :o

No worries Des, sh!t happens. Will get there if I can for some of it but really won't be able to tell until the time.

What's the deal with Coffin Dodgers not having played a game yet while some teams have played 3 games already? Hope they haven't dropped out already....that'd be an 18 game season down to 15 games already with more walkovers possible.

They've been playing games, but not entering their own scores.

I'm going to pop up tonight to watch.
Looking like this season is a write off for me at the moment. 5 more weeks of physio then another scan. I'm not optmistic though because no improvement so far.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,081 ✭✭✭LeixlipRed

Good news for me. My foot isn't broken. Possibly tendonitis. Have physio tomorrow and shall update then. Defo out tonight. Might pop along tonight if my foot isn't too sore.

Jules, a fella that drinks in Scholars plays for the Coffin Dodgers. They've drawn 1 and lost 1

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,081 ✭✭✭LeixlipRed

Good luck tonight. If I came along I'd only be tempted to be silly and play so just gonna stay in!

    3-3 draw.

worse performance ever in the first half, dont know what we were playing at but we conceded 3 goals and could have been more.0-3 at half time.

we made 2 or 3 switchs in 2nd half and it changed us about, we had a bit of bite. got back to 3-3 with jules (2) and gav getting a last second equaliser.

2 points lost though, their keeper was terrible but we didnt test him until into the 2nd half, he gifted us 2 goals. had we woke up 10 minutes earlier, we would have won the game hands down.

poor start, lets hope other results have been kind to us as 5 points dropped already is poor. we also had 2 lads sent off, so suppose shows how well we played in the 2nd half.

What was the story with the sendings off? Great comeback but very shaky start to season!

ciaran mouthing, should have been a free to us, he send ciaran off with about 8 or 9 left.
cathal cleaned a lad out of it, straight red with about 5 left, but again, the ref missed a foul before hand.

ya, super stuff in 2nd half.
