Ballinasloe = The quiet man ???

Is it just me or does Ballinasloe look like a village from the quiet man ?

drove through there a couple of months ago and it was completely dead except for one car, it was like going back in time with all the old buildings and such.

it was not my first time outside dublin but it was in the middle of the day

the only thing it was missing was john wayne riding around on his horse.

what do ya think ?

should of drove through it last week, big ass horse fair going on, place was crowded:D



nawh ballinasloe would be the most lively town in ireland but its still some craic

Believe much of it was shot in Cong, Co. Mayo.
So, there ya go.
Many rural towns in the wesht haven't changed all that much; if you block out the hideous 'developments' on the outskirts.
