SRAM 10-speed chain

Was looking at buying one but it seems the connector in only good for one-time use.

Does this mean once fitted I can't separate it for cleaning??

Seems a backward step considering how useful the usual connector is- I have an 8-speed on another bike.

    Any advice/suggestions?

As far as i know its only if it's a hollow link chain, They can not be re-connected

    Yes, it's for fitting only.

Some discussion in here and here.

Be careful where you buy. There has been a recall of some SRAM 10 speed chains. Beware buying from the net.
