Password Manager

    I'm trying to access a timetable on the college intranet via my laptop, but my password doesn't seem to be working. The old password manager on XP ISS machines used to flash up a warning when you were within 5 days or so of your college local access password timing out. Does the Vista version of the password manager do the same thing?

    I've had problems in college with my password, tried both the one I set up and the one I was originally given and neither work. Mine works fine from home though.

    I still have three college passwords that I have to use for various things ... 1st Random one for CS server, 2nd First personalized one for internal "web apps" 3rd Second personalized one for proxy/login.

    Turns out my local access password had indeed expired. So it seems ISS aren't giving warnings anymore then.

    Didn't they send out numerous emails about it at the end of May/June?

    They definitely sent emails about some sort of password expiring.

    That email was to remind people to reset it before they left for the summer, in case their password was due to time out during the summer. What I meant was that, if your password was due to expire in the next week, college computers would flash up a reminder every time you logged in warning you to reset your password before it expires. I'm not sure whether one's local access password can be reset remotely (ie whether you can do it other than through a college computer). The password.tcd.ie site looks like it only resets your remote access password (which is different - or at least it used to be separate to the local access password).
