    Generally quite formal/dressyish affairs.

Think of wearing something that you would wear out, as in stylish/fitted, but that would err on the side of demure/classy. Also consider wearing shoes that are reasonably comfortable, as there can be a lot of hanging/standing around, and also choose an outfit with which a nice coat can be matched, as grads in November can often be cold and wet!!!

Thanks for the replies girls :D

I have a lovely dress, boob tube, fitte don the waist and goes a bit flowey after the waist with a black sah around the waist..goes to just below my knee, bit much?

Its black but has gold flower things and a black net over the top so the pattern looks bronze- and the sah is black, with a nice black coat and bolero for when Im inside to cover my shoulders?

Is it his graduation from college or a debs-type ball?

Try and find some pictures from last years graduation and see what the standard is line so you can dress accordingly.
If in doubt I would go with formal as formal sits better in casual better the casual sits amongst formal.
Or say 'teh hell with opinions" and go as you please. :)

Along side this idea of grads, mine is coming up and i can't think of what to wear! So any ideas would be a help...

I'm quite busty and curvy so i'm thinking it'll have to be a nice curved top- kinda dress?
