Day started bad, work at 10 am on a Sunday morning is never good. Wasnt out last night but still kinda craved some crappy food this morning. Canteen closed of a Sunday. Crisps and chocolate are in order.

    Monster Munch pickled onion flavour.

I'd heard tales but never believed them to be true. I had to see it with my own eyes and taste it myself.

The fabled, all flavour Monster munch. You know the one, some machine malfunctioned and hey presto a crisp comprised of pure flavour and MSG goodness!

It was outstanding! Nearly sucked the f*cking face off myself it was so sour!

How often does this happen? Can I get a bag of just these?

(on a side note, do you remember the flavour boosters you could get in Discos)
I ask because a friend of mine denied their existence yesterday

The summer of '95 was a magical time for me, i once held the holy grail of corn based snacks... the crisp of kings ... the flavour of flavours ... the demons choice.

The reddest biggest Monster Munch, I or anyone of my friends had ever seen. It was truely amazing, so amazing infact that one of said friends kicked it out of my hand and stamped on it as I was offering it to the Gods!!

Apparently, if he wasnt going to get to eat it, then no one was!

The sun didnt shine as bright after that day had dawned.

I still search the Earth for the ellusive "all flavour crisp".

Now, i'm headin back to bed for a bit o' sex with the missus, enjoy work and your crisps!!:D

I had an original flavored pringle once that was so original I could taste the cardboard. A rare treat.

Nothing beats a pack of Hunky Dory Buffalo crisps. So much flavour thrown on top of them you can barely see the crisp!

The lad who said about the popcorn being cold, I know what you're talking about. Right as a crisps expert I will list from my lifelong experience a few of the best crisps ever... Ahem, here goes. 1. Monster munch beef flavour(oh yes) 2. McCoys the purple colour think they r barbeque 3. Banshee bones for the soft saltiness 4. Blue walkers max 5. As someone else said hunky dorys buffalo bad thing is you can't eat more than 1 pack in a sittin cos it sorta burns your stomach.. Wash all this down with a snickers bar and cuppa tea

+1 on the cold super salty popcorn, yum! Here are my faves in order, also I travel a lot and crisps are incidentally what I miss most from home.

    1. Mighty Munch (but oddly, I go mental for the totally bland ones, you know, just really pale yellow and non spicy, mmmmm)

    2. Barbecue Hula Hoops strong, and according to my sister smell like dog food, can't say I get that meself...

    3. For light and crunchy I like Treble crunch, even better with a cup of tea, don't know why!

    4. For a big, hearty bag, cheese and onion Hunky Dorys

    5. Also have a soft spot for skips and rancheros but only occasionally.

    3 words: Jonnie Onion Rings.

I think King make the best cheese and onion crisps. Not a walkers fan at all.
Thai Rings are delicious too. And Bacon Fries are great in the pub, terrible for heart burn though!

May I also nominate Burger Bites and Chikatees to the cheap and cheerful category, however as mentioned by others one pack is never enough!

The removal of E numbers has a lot to answer for when it comes to crisps and sweets.

They may have been for people bad but they made things taste nicer.

Chipcticks are yummy too but would agree that they are a bit different from what I remember years ago, they used to stick to your mouth more...

On the subject of Monster munch, whats the story with the miltiple brands making monster munch and I think theres one calles Mega monster munch? Which is the original paprika goodness and which is the fake?

Chipsticks went to hell a while back, there was no flavour on them whatsoever, but tesco has big packs of them and oh sweet divine lanternin jaysus the salt and vinegary goodness

Spicy flavour Nik Naks, and Bikers.

Whenever I find a shop selling either these days (very very rarely), I'd buy several packs for myself. The Tayto online store infact sells Bikers in those bulk 48-pack boxes.. but only to mainland UK. Which in my personal opinion is a bigger disaster than the holocaust.

Niknak's on the other hand can be bought from britsuperstore.com, who I believe ship internationally.
