hi all, need some help with a dvd recorder i bought off pixmania. this is it here ( http://www.pixmania.ie/ie/uk/2834325/art/airis/l105-dvd-recorder.html )

Ive tried for the last 2 days setting it up and i cant.
The issue I have is getting the tv channels to come up on the recorder.

It has several inputs (see pics below) and I've tried them all, but i cant get sound on the tv channels. I have it connected to the tv with a scart wire, and playing a dvd, picture + sound work fine.

When I try connecting the tv signal (coaxial) i get picture but no sound. There is an rf out + rf in and if i take a wire rfout and an rf in going to the tv. the channels display with both audio and video, but on the dvd recorder channel its still only video.

I dont know what else to do and really need help as it's a present..

Pics are attached below to hopefully explain what im doing in more detail.

    Thanks for any help!

It's possible that your DVD recorder could be on the wrong sound system. PAL-I is used for the UK & Ireland. In the manual tuning menu of my Sony DVD recorder there is an option to change the sound system. Take a look in yours. If there is a similar facility change it to "PAL-I" or "I".
