I don't mean the posting part, I mean somewhere you can (Legally) download or stream movie rentals.

I don't have an answer to your question but I live in America and have Netflix and think it is incredible value and extremely convenient. For around $15 a month I can rent two movies at a time through the post and it only takes a day to post a return, so I have a pretty constant flow of movies coming through. Don't watch too many online but the option is there.
It is a really good setup, just added around half a dozen dvds to my que tonight through recommendations here, especially good for foreign movies that you would normally find hard to come by.

Off point but was going o post about it before, end of video stores is nigh methinks.

The DVD options are a lot better IMO

You can choose a diff account depending on how many you want at one time

I think a good online video library is far off for Ireland / in general
If you downloaded the file, then its not rental, its a purchase

Streaming a 2 hour film would be a pain in the gee, and crap quality

Ive used screenclick and its a great service

Also, its much better watching DVDs than video files, and the heavy extra load of data transfer may add extra costs, depending on how often you'd be doenloading films
