Buying a laptop from eBay is perfectly *if* you know what your looking for , and set a definite maximum amount your willing to spend. The laptop you linked to is up at £510 already and IMO is not worth that amount. I bought a Dell D410 a year or two ago and its still going strong. I would continue to check every day, and narrow down your model/make your after and then its just a waiting game.
Try not to get caught up and pay over the odds for what a refurb is actually worth.
