    Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right forum (so mods please move if ness)...

I am starting work very soon in Harcourt Street area and would like to rent a car park spot. Any ideas where to look/speak to someone about it? Or does anyone have a spare one in their business car park nearby?

    Ta

how far do you miind walking ?

if you are in early enough there are free spaces where building works are going on beyond the far end of Sir John Rogersons Quay

I know the area pretty well and I can't think of anywhere within a 30 minute walk where you won't get clamped.

    Daft has a parking section

There's also a site just for Dublin parking spaces:

That space on Harcourt Street is in a premises directly opposite Copper Face Jacks. I work on Harcourt Street and luckily can use the Luas to get to and from work. Originally before the Luas launched I came to the conclusion that it would be better if you could park somewhere in Rathmines, South Richmond St or Ranelagh, near The Barge Pub.

Reasons for this are it can be a nightmare to get down Harcourt St and turn on to Cuffe St and get back up Camden Street, This can take up to twenty minutes coming up to Christmas. Whereas a 5 minute walk to Rathmines or Ranelagh and you're well on your way. All depends of course where the OP lives, this solution would not be of much use if you were heading Northside.

You can take it as a given that if there are free parking spaces within 2km of Harcourt Street, they're occupied 24 hours a day, 6 days a week. Unless you actually need your car for work, then your best plan is to get yourself on the LUAS green line or any bus route with a terminus in South Dublin.

If you live on the Northside, then a dart or a bus that leaves you on College Green/Westmoreland St are your best options. Driving into or around Harcourt St at peak times on a regular basis would be a waste of time.

There is free parking around most of the Tenters area; it's about 10-15 minutes walk to and from Harcourt Street. If you are driving from the Naas Road area, head towards Cork Street and that's you sorted.

I'm pretty sure that whole area is pay and display.

No, it actually isn't all paid parking; there are plenty of free spots if you know where to look ;)

Hi, I knowthis is an old thread but could anyone tell me can you turn right from Cuffe St onto Harcourt St? I've to drive in this eve and not too familiar with the area. Thanks in advance

IIRC no, it's a one-way street with traffic only allowed to go north.
