    Hey there.

I've just applied for Jobseekers Allowance and I was just wondering if you could tell me how much I'm likely to get? I'm 26 and just moved back with my parents who earn under €300 p/w altogether, I said on the forms they gave me that I pay €200 a month rent to them. I've had a look at the citizens information website and its says I'll be entitled to just over €200 per week, which is great, but seems a bit too good to be true...

Surely as I'm living with parents it'd be less than that?

    Thanks guys

As far as I know, if you're over 25, your parents income isn't taken into account at all. Open to correction on that though!

that's true, once you're over 25 your parents' income isn't taken into account for the means test.
