Query regarding BMW Extended Warranty

Anyone know the definitive answer on this pls, I've tried main dealer and am getting very hazy answers.

Basically if you buy a 09 X5, and then make it commerical and register it etc, does it void the extended 3 year warranty as it is now a commerical vehicle?

I've been told it does, but the salesguys say its "shouldn't"

Is there a milage limit per year that you can stay within to keep the extended warranty ?

    any help greatly appreciated

It depends on the dealer and the problem!!

I've seen a guy with a suspension problem and BMW refused to cover it as the car was not made for carrying heavy goods in the back! But they fixed his door lock 2 months before that!

I've actually just call a call back from BMW Ireland, veyr nice bloke went through it all with me, not only is the extended warranty invalid but the standard one year warranty is voided once the vehicle is made commerical !

Basically if I buy it brand new, make it commerical the next day and then drive it for the first time ever and the engine falls out after one mile I have absolutely no entitlement to warranty.

Yes they may accomodate me but they are not obliged to whatsoever.

Do BMW sell a commercialized version? If so, that should have a warranty?

They don't sell a commercial version. People buy the passenger model and convert it

Interesting, I wonder is that specific to BMW? Or do all high end SUV's that are converted to Commercial invalidate their warranties?
