I've encountered a few issues with my laptop recently

I noticed on two occasions that the clock was very behind - about 40 hours between the two occasions I noticed.

On one occasion it would not turn on at all. When pushed, the power lbutton would light up briefly and then go dead. The charger was working correctly and connected at the time. This lasted for about an hour. When it did turn on, the battery was fully charged.

The charger is not working intermittently and emmitting a quiet beeping sound. This is the same as a problem I had before, which googling suggested was from a short circuit in the charger. This is happening again with the replacement charger.

And now I'm getting a message "plugged in, not charging" when I look at the battery tooltip. Google suggests the power board needs to be replaced.

It's the first two issues that I'm asking about really, since I have explanations pretty much for the other two.

It's in warranty (I extended the warranty to 4 years when I read about the high failure rate of the gpu)

your laptop sounds like it's ****ed, try restoring the software to defaut config, it it fails bring it back on warrentee and get a new one or a refund if you think that it is below merchantable quality and that a new one will die a few months after the warentee expires. you are entitles to replacement OR refund. you decide which you want, not the retailer.

I contacted dell with the list of issues. No time to change the software config - it all seems to be hardware issues in any case. Happy enough if it's repaired. Will be in warranty for a good while yet.

weird. It's charging now. That means every one of these issues is intermittent.

A technician came around and fixed it today. Replaced motherboard and charger. Wasn't there myself but told it works fine again now. Happy with the service.
