    Hi Guys,
I'm looking to get some experience working in public health somewhere in the third world but preferably asia before I apply for a masters in it.

I will have my degree in nutritional science next summer so would be looking for something to do related to nutrition for a year or two after.

Does anyone have any ideas or know if I'd have much hope getting involved in something like this with only a degree?

Search the web like a mad yoke! I randomly found an internship with UNICEF this year, applied, got it and when I was working with them there were lots of Public Health people.

Start emailing charities who send people abroad and see how much experience you'd need for them to want to send you abroad. Now, if you don't have the necessary experience someone will still be able to use you, but you'll be funding yourself.
For them to want to hire you, the general rule is you have to be in demand in Ireland as well. Standards are just as high for positions abroad, even volunteer ones!

GOAL would be a good place to start, email them and see what they would require. After that check the Irish Aid website and get a list of organisations that had stands at their fair 2 or 3 weeks ago. Then email all of them!
    Have fun!
