unless u click on keep in play if ur bets not matched and u get ur money back.
not sure about commission think its 3 or 5 %.
but to be honest with you with betfair especialy with laying bets unless
ur 100% sure what ur doing l would'nt do it.
backing is straight forward enough try that for a while before u start laying things.

Yeah im trying to figure out here all day, i went on betfair with the intentions of laying outsiders with small money... do u have an account urself.. I plan to say lay complete outsiders in horseracing for maybe a tenner each time..I know its probably not as simple as that because if it was everyone would be at it..

People who use Betfair for making a living or shall we say devote a large amount of time to it largely win through backing and not laying - that is they pick and choose their bets to win.

If you're thinking of laying a small bank is not where you want to be starting - you'll need a large bit of capital behind you and you need to pick and choose your lays carefully. It'll take a good bit of yor time.

A lot of people seem to have the misconception that laying is the easy way to make money but remember if you lay 10 horses @ 10/1 if the first 9 win you're back to square one if the last one comes in - that is, its a lot easier to pick 1 horse in 10 to win than 9 in 10 to lose in theory.

Yeah well said , i plan to lay some teams in the priemier league too.. The likes of burnley away to utd , i wouldnt mind laying them for say a hundred euros.. Having said that i wouldnt of mind laying sunderland against utd last week and they nearly held on for a win.. I wont have to worry about that for a while anyway cos i know ud need about 3grand in your account for that as sunderland wouldve been around the 30/1 mark..
