Which netbook - Samsung or Toshiba?

    I'm going to buy a netbook for travelling, and what I want is something to check my emails, surf the web, and use word and excel. A long battery life is important to me and also the weight. Having researched a bit I'm torn between these two, which have more or less the same specs (Toshiba has the slightly faster processor, and Samsung has a slightly better graphics card)
    Pricewise there's little difference. Has anyone got either of these or can recommend one over the other?

    TOSHIBA - NB200-125 [374 Euro)
    TOSHIBA 10" BLUE/SILVER NETBOOK

    * 1GB RAM AND 160GB HARD DISK
    * WINDOWS XP OPERATING SYSTEM
    * WIRELESS LAN FOR BROADBAND
    * INTEL 945E GRAPHICS MEMORY
    * BUILT IN WEBCAM AND MIC FOR SKYPE
    * BUILT IN SD CARD READER
    * BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY
    * 3X USB (1 WITH SLEEP & CHARGE)
    * BATTERY: 9 HRS
    * WEIGHT: 1.3KG

    SAMSUNG - NP-N140-KA03UK [359 Euro]
    SAMSUNG 10.1" NETBOOK
    * INTEL ATOM N270 1.6 GHZ PROCESSOR
    * 1GB RAM AND 160GB HARD DISK
    * WINDOWS XP
    * WIRELESS LAN FOR BROADBAND
    * INTEL 950 GRAPHICS MEDIA ACCELERATOR
    * BUILT IN WEB CAM AND MIC
    * SD CARD READER
    * BLUETOOTH
    * 3 X USB CONNECTIONS
    * BATTERY: 6 CELL - 10 HOUR
    * WEIGHT: 1.25 KG
    * 10.1" WSVGA SUPERBRIGHT LED DISPLAY

    N140 is what I am after. 11 hours supposing battery power. Anyone who has one seems to sing their praises.

    I'd say most people would recommend you go with the samsung

    I've got an N140 and it's great. The battery life is amazing. BTW the N140 also has one USB connection that can be used for charging devices such as phones even when it's switched off.

    The OP seemed asking about NC10 in the other thread so I personally think it would be the right choice. Nothing against Toshiba, I do respect them. I don't know much about that specific model though. NC140 is also unknown but NC10 is great. I don't know what are the differences, to be honest, the one thing I notice in the spec is that NC10 advertised as 10.2" while NC140 is 10.1". But as I mentioned in the other thread, for me the critical component is built-in 3G and NC10 could provide me with it. Not all models, of course. Also, I don't know much about NC140 but I somehow suspect it won't be as stellar as NC10 which was praised all over the Net.
