I see this was posted in FAQ
Question : how do I play IPOD videos on my TV

Answer : Connect a camcorder AV lead ( 1/8 inch jack) to the IPOD headphone outlet.

Connect the AV leads as follows to your TV
Red lead => Yellow TV socket
Yellow lead => White TV socket
White lead => Red TV socket

A camcorder AV lead can be picked up for under a tenner.
apologies if this is old hat but it works and is cheap.

Does this work for the ipod touch

No, you need to buy a dock that will enable the video out function, if the dock you buy does not come with video out cables then you'll have to buy those too.

To be clear: all new ipods require a dock through which videos can be played.

Thanks for the info. I have an ipod dock - Vers 2x and it mentions Auxin/out - it that anything to do with it (excuse my ignorance!)

Have just found this article, and it seems to say that I could just use the composite cables to conenct to TV without a dock?

Got the apple cable and am enjoying watching films etc through my iPod. Only drawback is no remote control for iPod!
