Hey guys, am looking to join the DCU gym but as I have never joined a gym in my life, I am wondering if somebody can give me some advice. Basically, I am just looking to get fit and have a bit of an extra outlet for the winter. If I join, will somebody working there be able to give me some tips on what machines to use (and how) and a sort of programme type thing? lol, am a bit nervous for some weird reason. Also, how much does it cost and can you pay per month or is it annually?
    Thanks

It's €210 for the academic year (until the end of May) or €250 for 12 months. The instructors wont have any problem making you out a basic programme to get you started. It might be an idea to have a look at this forum. Plenty of people there to give you advice on training and the stickies are full of useful information, particularly this one.

The cost is on the DCU website and why not call over to the gym and ask the other questions to get a definitive answer.

Yeah its 210 until the end of may or 250 for 12 months. I joined myself for the 12 months, there's an induction where they show you around all of the rooms and how to use the machines. There are also classes on everyday that you can sign up to if you want. And it is very very daunting going to a new gym when you dont know where your going, but just chill it and ask anybody for help everyone has been helpful to me so far :)
