This may be way out there under severely irrelevant section of the world. I was thinking about Fantasy Football (with Baddiel and Skinner) from the 90's today and was thinking of a section where they played the song Lambada and it was linked to a bald player. I just cannot remember the name of the player and it's doing my conker in, anyone remember?
    I've tried Googly already

I used to watch the show the odd time, but I can't remember this.

Which country was the player from?

Jeff Astle was the footballer who did all the singing. I thought the OP meant the version of Lambada Jeff Astle sang was linked to a bald footballer. (as far as I recall, Jeff Astle wasn't bald)

Was it the intro to the 'Saints & Greavie talk about the Endsleigh League' sketch?

    Guess not...

Jeff Astle did sing every week, but a different song every week. Now that you mention Jeff Astle may have done the song with a bald wig aswell as it being a sketch / filler bit

Yeah I know it was a different song. The other poster seemed to have been under the impression that the footballer you were referring to was Jeff Astle. I merely pointed out it was he who sang the Lambada song you are referring to.

    Anyway, mystery solved.

Jason Lee really shouldn't have let the "pineapple head" thing get to him the way he did - didn't it affect his career or something?

Didn't really affect his career cause he was sh*t anyway but having 30,000 plus people singing that song to him every week really pissed him off. He's still playing in the lower leagues btw, minus the pineapple.

He used to get very upset, poor guy. I was torn between thinking "get over it" and just feeling sorry for him.
