    Hi,

if you have a registered vat number, must be legit (they check)
you can get a vat refund from amazon.

    1. just process order as per usual
    2. pay full amount
    3. select free delivery if over £25
    4. after order is processed email cust. services ,
supply your vat number & company Name then request vat refund.

By the way if you are not vat reg,
use your company vat no: ( i have done this for years )
but use your company address as the delivery address.

    :)Eamon

Does that not mean the company you work for then has to pay the VAT?

I am pretty much 100% certai that this is VAT fraud. Amazon have to report these VAT refunds, and this one has your name and company no. attached. Do you think your company would be happy with that?

It is fraud, it should be removed from Bargain alerts.

It is fraud if you are using a VAT number you are not authorised to use, but if you are buying stuff for valid business purposes for the business or person who's VAT number you are using then its not fraud.

Amazon take account of it in their VAT returns to UK revenue as being zero VAT sales but it will be just a number and would only come out in more detail if they were audited. At that stage UK revenue would become aware of it but they are not likely to be bothered passing this info to Irish revenue as they are not obliged to.

Do take care just picking your company's (or employers) VAT number and using it because there is a strong chance of you getting sacked if caught:eek:

Yeah but the prices displayed include UK VAT. Irish VAT is only applied when you get to the checkout

Please don't take the OP's advice, this is VAT fraud and/or could get you fired.
